Your Role

As a Data Scientist at Tekniska Verken, you will develop and deploy advanced models for analysis, prediction, and optimization within the energy sector. The models are used to support everything from optimizing our networks and forecasting prices to providing recommendations to users and creating insights that promote sustainability and efficiency. You will work closely with our data engineers and business stakeholders to ensure that our solutions are both innovative and reliable.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Developing machine learning models to optimize energy distribution, predict prices, and analyze user behaviors.
• Creating models to provide recommendations and insights that help users optimize their energy consumption.
• Deploying and managing models in a production environment using Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Performing analyses on large datasets to identify patterns and trends that support business decisions.
• Collaborating with data engineers to ensure that the data infrastructure is optimized for the models' needs.
• Visualizing and communicating insights and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for someone with a strong ability to analyze data and a passion for creating solutions that contribute to a more sustainable and efficient energy sector. You are self-driven and curious, with a desire to constantly improve and develop both yourself and your solutions. Furthermore, you are analytical and solution-oriented with the ability to think creatively. With a collaborative and communicative approach, you thrive in cross-functional teams. You are flexible and eager to explore new technologies and methods while being self-sufficient and structured, with a strong desire to deliver high-quality results.

Experience We Hope You Have:

• Relevant post-secondary education in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or equivalent.
• Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
• Programming skills, particularly in Python.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms, especially Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Competence in data analysis and handling large datasets.
• Knowledge of model monitoring and optimization in production environments.
• Ability to communicate insights and results in an educational manner.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It’s a Plus If You Have:

• Experience with models for the energy sector, such as price and demand forecasting or energy distribution optimization.
• Experience with real-time data and streaming data sources.
• Experience with visualization tools like Power BI.
